Individual Therapy

Dr. Drury takes a holistic approach to individual therapy, and strives to understand her clients’ difficulties within their unique social, developmental, cultural and historical context. She strongly believes in the importance of emotional well-being and provides her clients the opportunity to examine, understand and integrate their emotions into a balanced sense of self. Dr. Drury uses a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. She works with clients with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, OCD, and sexual difficulties.

Couples Therapy

Dr. Drury’s work with couples draws primarily on emotion-focused therapy and behavioural techniques. She has trained at the Sex and Couple Therapy Service at the Allen Memorial Institute, working with couples with difficulties with communication, trust, emotional intimacy, sex, and infidelity. Her couples therapy is grounded in attachment theory and research.

Dr. Drury is a certified yoga teacher and believes strongly in the mind-body connection. As such, she often works with her clients to integrate a physical practice into treatment, such as walking or doing yoga.
