Dr. Cheryl Rose Blum is a licensed psychologist and member of the Quebec Order of Psychologists. Dr. Blum specializes in treating anxiety and depression across the lifespan. Dr. Blum’s warm, open, and non-judgmental demeanor creates a safe space for the therapeutic process. Dr. Blum works with clients primarily in English.
Dr. Blum obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa in 2012 and has extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Prior to working in private practice, Dr. Blum worked at The Jewish General Hospital in both the Child Psychiatry Outpatient Department and in the Youth Service Psychiatry Department.
At the MindSpace Clinic, Dr. Blum provides psychological assessment and psychotherapy for individuals and families. She uses a primarily Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and alter behaviours that maintain psychological distress. Dr. Blum also borrows techniques from Experiential Therapy to help clients foster greater self-compassion and soften their inner critics.
