Jin views psychotherapy as a process of understanding and changing patterns that lead to emotional suffering. Her goal is to accompany you in this process and support you throughout your journey of putting order to emotional chaos, reconnecting with your strengths, and recreating meaning in life. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-based, grounded in principles of dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mentalization-based therapy, and emotion-focused psychodynamic therapy.
Jin received her M.A. degree in psychology from Concordia University in 2013. She is near the completion of her PhD in clinical psychology at Concordia University. She has clinical experience working with individuals with different problems, like anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, bereavement, life transitions, family conflict, and relationship difficulties. She has a special interest in working with adults with personality disorders, trauma, and adjustment issues related to bariatric surgery.
Jin is a current candidate affiliate of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec under the supervision of Dr. Joe Flanders.
