Nida is a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at McGill University. Her doctoral research focuses on understanding the human stress response and it’s effects on psychological processes like emotion regulation.
Nida has clinical experience working with both couples and individuals dealing with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, sexual dysfunctions, and trauma. She operates from within a mindfulness framework, drawing from elements of cognitive, and dialectical behavioural therapies, motivational interviewing, existential, and process-oriented approaches.
Nida believes that the process of change starts with a meaningful and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Drawing on this philosophy, she will work with you to better understand your needs and help you achieve your goals. Nida works with clients primarily in English.
