Sébastien Nguyen is currently finishing his PhD in clinical psychology at McGill University. He had training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as in more emotion/relationship-centered approaches. He now also teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) under the supervision of Dr. Joe Flanders. Sebastien started practicing mindfulness early on in his life, and is now deepening his formal practice. He teaches mindfulness to groups and individuals with various needs and backgrounds. His general approach focuses on clients’ individual experience, and addresses their needs realistically, flexibly, and within the larger context of their life. His doctoral research seeks to identify ways to help people improve their relationship with themselves and others, by studying the interplay between past and present experiences. Sébastien practices in both French and English.
