MindSpace is thrilled to be working with the Centre for Mindfulness Studies (CMS) to bring you teacher certification programsfor Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). CMS is Canada’s leading provider of professional development in mindfulness-based therapies and we are pleased to be the exclusive teachers of their programming in Quebec.

MindSpace is launching a sub-brand called “MindSpace Institute.” All professional development programs, including the MBSR and MBCT Certificate Programs will be offered under this name.

An overview of CMS’s MBSR and MBCT certificate programs can be found here. These programs are recognized by University of California at San Diego’s Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute. The facilitators meet the Good Practice Guidelines for facilitating Mindfulness-Based Interventions. All of the trainings will be accredited by the OPQ and we are working on accreditations from the governing bodies for physicians, social workers, and occupational therapists.

This past May, we hosted Pat Rockman and Zindel Segal for MBCT Basics, the first training module in the MBCT Facilitation Certificate program. We are slowly rolling out the rest of the training modules for Montrealers, focusing first on MBCT trainings.
